Mission
The Board of Directors of the BTCPA would like to welcome you to our site and thank you for continuing the theatrical journey with us and for your commitment to the future.
Overview
In the spring of 1996, a small but visionary group of people began the arduous task of bringing community theater to the City of Red Bay. From it's inaugural production, the BTCPA has presented three plays a year, some being mysteries, and classics, but predominately comedies. The ages of those involved span from two years to enthusiastic senior citizens in their seventies. The Board has been very fortunate to have a cadre of dedicated and talented people working behind the scenes as well.
Description
The Bay Tree Council for the Performing Arts is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors comprised of arts advocates who share a common passion for theater and a commitment to the community. The board also serves as a champion of the theater arts in the Red Bay area. It is dedicated to raising the profile of theater and igniting interest in the theater among the community’s youth.
General Information
Through the generosity of Community Spirit Bank, the plays are presented in the elegant Arts and Entertainment Center in downtown Red Bay. All the plays, including the highly popular dinner theater in February, have been well attended. The members of the BTCPA, both current and past, have nurtured a miracle into a reality. They have done so with the unbelievable strong support of sponsors, patrons, members and people who share their commitment. Now we invite you to share the good news. It is show time and with your support will be for eons to come.
The Bay Tree Council has three performances each year. The highly popular dinner theater is held in February. Other performances are held in April and November.
